Welcome to Wallberg mountain

Wallberg mountain, in Rottach-Egern on Tegernsee lake, is one of Bavaria's most beautiful mountains and a popular recreational destination.

Situated at an elevation of 1,620 meters above sea level, visitors to the mountain will find the entire Tegernsee Valley at their feet. The sun terrace of the Panorama Restaurant, which is situated at the top station, not only offers breath-taking views but also delicious Bavarian specialities. This is also the starting point for a wide variety of wonderful hiking trails, and with a little bit of luck, you might see a native golden eagle circling above.

Just like the golden eagle, the usually good thermal lift takes numerous paragliders and hang-gliders soaring into the clear blue skies.

A visit to the Wallberg "Kirchlein" (chapel) - the landmark of Bavaria's "sunshine moutain" - is of course a must.
