Naturally on the Wallberg
For this year's opening of the event series "Natürlich! Kreuth" event series, the Wallberg cable car takes you up into the air - what a view!
High above Lake Tegernsee, the area managers have set up information stands together with rangers, the mountain rescue service, the Wallberg Alpine Association and the Alpine Club, where they pass on their knowledge of nature around the mountaineering village of Kreuth. During the guided tours between the Wallberg mountain station, Setzberg and the Grubereck chamois observation station, they explain which animals and plants live here, what nature conservation measures are in place in the Wallberg area and how everyone can help to ensure that the wild animals here continue to survive safely. Some of these species benefit from the mountain pasture farming that has been practised in the region for thousands of years. The alpine farmers talk about their work, the challenges and the flora and fauna of the alpine pastures.
If travelling by public transport, there is a discount for the ascent and descent with the Wallbergbahn.
