Please note that in bad weather conditions and in the off-season it will also be short-term

Regardless of whether you are in the mood for “simply” walking up the 100 metres in height between the top of the cable car station and the mountain peak or whether you are looking for a real challenge, the spectacular hiking area from Risserkogel to Setzberg offers you so many possibilities. The only thing limiting you is potentially the time at your disposal.
Off to one of the most beautiful summit crosses in the Bavarian Alps
Without exaggeration, the summit of the Wallberg is adorned with one of the most beautiful summit crosses in the Bavarian Alps. And although the view from the Wallberg plateau of the Tegernsee and the surrounding mountains is already breathtaking, the approx. 30-minute ascent from the Wallbergbahn mountain station is worthwhile for those who don't want to miss out on a real summit experience. The path to the summit leads past the panorama restaurant to the right, initially into a small depression, and then climbs steeply to a saddle. From there it goes over some crags, which require sturdy shoes and surefootedness, to a plateau. There the view of the rocky summit structure of the Wallberg opens up with its beautiful summit cross.
Successful aerial manoeuvres
…are neatly demonstrated by the paragliders and hang-gliders that are drawn to Wallberg mountain by its usually excellent thermal lift. What could be better than enjoying the endless freedom of the skies with the sound of the wind in your ears and a view of the picture-postcard panorama surrounding the Tegernsee lake.
