On Saturday, 13 December, we are looking forward to the visit of the Penzberger Beaschdn on the Wallberg. The performance is planned for around 13:00 on the Wallberg Plateau.
In 1984, Max J. Gruber from Penzberg revived the almost forgotten custom of Oklopf'n - in Penzberg dialect "Beaschdl'n" - and founded the Penzberger Beaschd'n e.V..
Inspired by old legends and the stories of former miners, Gruber carved around 289 impressive wooden masks - known as larvae - from lime and poplar wood. Each mask tells its own story.
Figures from the mountains and moors
In addition to classic Perchten such as devils, witches, witches and beauties, two special groups characterise the appearance:
Bergmandl - guardian spirits of the Penzberg mines
Mooskoppen - mysterious creatures from the moors
At the centre is Frau Perchta, a mystical figure caught between light and dark, good and evil.
We look forward to the mystical performance of the Penzberg Beaschdn on the Wallberg - fire show included!

The party starts at 18:00 with an aperitif, the festive menu begins at 19:00.
